CDC Update for Dogs Travelling Across USA Border

On July 22, 2024, the CDC announced updated import requirements for dogs travelling to the U.S. that depend on where the dog has been in the 6 months before travelling to the U.S.

These changes will come into effect on August 1, 2024, at midnight EDT.

Dogs that have only been in dog-rabies free or low-risk countries (such as Canada, the U.S. and Mexico) in the 6 months before travelling to the U.S.

Starting on August 1, 2024, the only required documentation for dogs entering or returning to the United States that have been only in dog rabies-free or low-risk countries in the past 6 months is the CDC Dog Import Form. See the form link below:
